The biographical short, Queen of Threads, came about from Aaron and Amy being close friends and neighbors who lived in the historic Fondren neighborhood in Jackson, Mississippi. Hanging out together in each other's spaces, Aaron was creating and expanding a couture fashion collection and Amy was learning how to get behind the camera.

 

Eventually, Aaron told Amy to 'stop filming the plants on their roof and follow me around.' She then filmed in Aaron's design studio and at Shade where Aaron hosted a popular weekly drag show. In 2021, Aaron appeared in Project Runway, Season 19, and is currently designing women's and bridal couture (aaronmichael.com). Amy continues to film (everydayfuturistic.com).
